Statutory bodies ensuring rights, safety and welfare of every student and staff.

Students Grievance Redressal

The Students Grievance Redressal Committee addresses and discusses the concerns and basic problems of students. It also looks into issues arising from relationships between students, faculty, and non-teaching staff. The Committee suggests to implement appropriate remedial measures to ensure a healthy and supportive academic environment.

Internal Complaint Committee (ICC)

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) was constituted as per UGC regulations for the prevention, prohibition, and redressal of sexual harassment in higher educational institutions. The Committee ensures a safe and secure campus environment through awareness programmes and timely redressal of complaints from students and staff. Complaints may be submitted to the Principal, ICC Chairperson, or through online mode, and are handled with confidentiality and due process.

Anti-Ragging Squad

Anti-Ragging Squad in the college functions to ensure a zero-ragging environment in the campus and to maintain a zero-tolerance policy against ragging in the college. The Squad is authorized to perform surprise raids in hostel, canteen and other areas in the campus. The Squad submits its report to the Anti-ragging Committee and other authorities.

OBC Cell

OBC Cell has been constituted at MCT College of Legal Studies to ensure welfare, scholarships, and grievance redressal of students belonging to Other Backward Classes as per UGC and Govt. of Kerala guidelines.

  • Students belonging to OBC categories may approach the OBC Cell for assistance regarding scholarships, fee concessions, and other educational support schemes.
  • The OBC Cell works to promote inclusive education and address issues of discrimination, if any, faced by OBC students. Confidentiality assured.

Minority Cell

Minority Cell Committee has been constituted at MCT College of Legal Studies to safeguard the rights and promote the welfare of students from minority communities as per UGC and Government guidelines.

  • Students belonging to minority communities may approach the Minority Cell for assistance with scholarships, fee concessions, and redressal of grievances related to discrimination.
  • The Minority Cell ensures equal opportunities, inclusive education, and protection from discrimination for all minority students. All matters are handled with confidentiality.

Women's Cell

The Women's Cell is dedicated to promoting gender equality, empowerment, and safety for all women on campus. It conducts awareness programs, workshops, and counseling sessions to ensure a secure and inclusive academic environment for women students and staff.

Moot Court Society

The Moot Court Society is a key academic initiative that forms an integral part of legal education at MCT CLS. It provides students with practical exposure to courtroom procedures through moot courts and mock trials, bridging the gap between theory and practice of law. The Society aims to develop advocacy, research, and argumentation skills, preparing students for participation in national and international moot court competitions. The college is also equipped with a well-furnished Moot Court Hall to support advanced practical training.



Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the College is an active and supportive body that contributes consistently to the academic, non-academic, and infrastructural development of the institution. It serves as a strong pillar to support for all institutional initiatives and fosters a positive, constructive relationship among all stakeholders, including students, parents, and faculty members.

Role & Functions

  • Regular meetings between parents and faculty to review student progress
  • Addressing student welfare issues and academic concerns
  • Supporting institutional development and infrastructure initiatives
  • Organizing awareness programmes on student discipline and career guidance
  • Facilitating transparent communication between the college and families

Staff Council

The Staff Council is an advisory body that assists the Principal in academic matters and in maintaining discipline within the College. It plays a key role in supporting the smooth functioning of academic and administrative activities and contributes to the overall development of the institution.

  • Reviewing and improving teaching-learning methodologies
  • Coordinating inter-departmental academic and administrative activities

College Union

The College Union is the student representative body that promotes academic, cultural, and extracurricular activities in the College. It helps develop leadership skills among students and serves as a link between students and the College administration.

  • Organizing cultural fests, academic events, and inter-college competitions
  • Promoting student welfare and addressing grievances democratically
  • Encouraging community service, legal awareness, and social responsibility
  • Facilitating leadership development among student representatives

Clubs & Student Bodies

Nature Club

The Nature Club of MCT CLS actively promotes environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students. It encourages tree plantation, organic farming, and maintenance of the college vegetable garden. The club also advocates for a plastic-free campus and regularly organizes activities to foster a sense of responsibility towards nature.

Quiz Club

Sharpening general knowledge and legal awareness through regular quiz competitions, inter-college events, and intellectual challenges.

Tourism Club

Tourism Club of MCT College of Legal Studies has been formed to promote awareness of India's cultural heritage, eco-tourism, and responsible travel among law students. All students interested in exploring Kerala's heritage, legal aspects of tourism, and sustainable travel are invited to join. The Club conducts heritage walks, legal awareness on tourism laws, and field visits to promote "Dekho Apna Desh" and responsible citizenship.

Moot Court Club

Developing advocacy and courtroom skills through regular mooting exercises, mock trials, and inter-college competitions.

Debate Club

Enhancing public speaking and argumentation skills through debates, elocution, and reading sessions on current legal and social issues.

Blood Donors Club

Organizing blood donation drives and awareness campaigns to serve the community and instill a spirit of humanitarian service among students.

Cultural Club

Celebrating art, music, dance, and literature through cultural festivals, performances, and events that enrich campus life.

YIP (Youth Initiative Programme)

Empowering young leaders through community service, social awareness campaigns, and youth-led initiatives for positive change.

Anti Human Trafficking

Raising awareness about human trafficking laws and victim rights through seminars, campaigns, and community outreach programmes.

Sports Club

Promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship through inter-class and inter-college tournaments across a variety of sports disciplines.

Women's Club

Empowering women students through leadership programs, self-defence workshops, career guidance, and awareness sessions on women's rights.

Institutional Risk Management Committee

Identifying, assessing, and mitigating institutional risks to ensure the safety, sustainability, and smooth functioning of academic and administrative operations.
